Lexus RX350 - Paint Correction & Gloss Coat

A client wanted me to work on his severely neglected car. The car has less than 40,000 miles but the condition of the vehicle after inspection made me second guess the year of the vehicle. Normally it would take a minimum of 20 hours to correct Japanese paint, but this car took around 35+ man hours to complete. Not only were swirls and scratches found on every inch of the car, the whole car had sanding marks/buffer trails that were caused by previous detailers. After taking measurements of the clear coat with a paint gauge, some panels underwent a 2-3 step correction. Some scratches were so deep that wet sanding was the only way to reduce or completely remove scratches. Wet sanding marks left by previous detailers were engraved on the edges of the paint, making it very difficult to correct. After spending a couple of days fixing the paint, the paint was ceramic coated and brought back to life. Prior to performing paint correction, the paint of the car was dull and lacked gloss/clarity.

Let the pictures speak for itself!
