Acura TL - Paint Correction & Interior Detail

 

Client brought in a 2007 silver Acura TL that required a major restoration. The paint was dull, along with the plastic and the vinyl inside the car. The leather seats required restoration and protection from the sun. After countless hours, the car came out spotless!

 

Procedure

Exterior

 

Tires were cleaned using Chemical Guys Diablo

Iron X used to remove metal contaminants on wheels

The whole car was rinsed using a foam lancer

The car was washed with Optimum Car Wash

NanoSkin Mitt used to decontaminate paint

Clay bar used for severe, stubborn panels 

Paint assessed and masked

Wet sanding required on major deep scratches

Meguires 105 compound used to remove severe defects in the paint

Sonax Perfect Finish 4/6 used to polish the paint

Diluted 50/50 isopropyl alcohol used on paint to remove leftover oil from polishing before applying protection

Natural light and Rupes Pen used to inspect corrected paint

1Z Einszett Glanz Wax applied for protection

Interior & exterior glass cleaned using Sonax Glass Cleaner

 

Interior

 

All plastic and vinyl pieces were cleaned using Meguires APC+

Extractor and vapor steamer used to clean leather and carpet

Chemical Guys Nonsense used to clean leather

Chemical Guys Leather Conditioner used for protection

Aerospace 303 used on all plastic and vinyl for protection

Interior & exterior glass cleaned using Sonax Glass Cleaner
